Float Shelf

Rock Paper Robot float shelf is a 2D matrix of "magnetized" cubes. The repelling cubes are held in equilibrium by a system of tensile steel cables. Even more counter intuitive than the float table, the shelf levitate out from the wall to give lofty purchase to your worthiest objects. the front cubes of the shelf elastically deform and stabilize when external force is applied.
Materials: Rare earth magnets, Stainless steel cables, MDF, Finish (wood veneer, colored lacquer, metal ,etc)
